I walked out onto my patio last night to find the small trees surrounding my “backyard” are just starting to turn red. I’ve seen these trees in yards before and they’re gorgeous when they’re in full color. They almost look as if they are on fire. I moved into this apartment in April, so I didn’t know what they were until they started to change.
So, it gives me something to look forward to this fall. Plus, it will be something pretty for my new cat to look at. More on Bernadette later.

You’re back! So nice to read your blog again! I, too, have one of those “small trees” that’s turning red. I think you are speaking of a Burning Bush. The kids and I look forward to seeing its beautiful change to shocking red every fall.
